Kaleo Dudoit

ʻAʻohe hana nui ke alu ʻia. No task is too big when done together by all. ~Mary Kawena Pukui

Kaleo is a true believer that anything is possible and can be accomplished when working together in strength and unison toward the same goal.

Originally from Manaʻe, Molokai, Kaleo now calls the Kipuʻupuʻu plains of Waimea on Hawaiʻi island her home.

Her favorite childhood memories include summer camping in Halawa and Wailau Valley, bonding with cousins, watching her ʻohana go holoholo from the mountain to the sea, exploring the northern coastline by boat, playing in the river and ocean, and basically allowing the ʻāina and simple living to rejuventate her soul.  Still to this day, she continues to go back to Molokaʻi in the summer to perpetuate these family traditions with her son.

Kaleo enjoys cooking, hosting gatherings, arts and crafts, and admiring daily sunsets with family and friends.

Kaleo graduated from Molokai High School, attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo to earn her BA in Psychology and Communications, and then went on to attain an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Argosy University Hawaii.  She is currently pursuing her MFT Hawaii state licensure.

She worked for Hawaii's Department of Education for about 10 years as a School Based Behavioral Health Specialist providing social, emotional, behavioral and academic support to students K-12.  She has been blessed to work primarily with Kanu o ka ʻĀina New Century Public Charter School and attributes most of her Hawaiian cultural knowledge and grooming to Kanu for giving her the opportunity to learn and participate in language, oli, moʻolelo, hula, makahiki activities and ceremonial experiences.

Kaleo is honored to serve in our Queen's legacy as a Direct Service Specialist for our Kona Kīpuka site. She looks forward to the rewarding work that will be done with her team in their great efforts to provide supports for our kamaliʻi and ʻohana within the North and West Hawaiʻi communities.
