Liliuokalani Trust has promoted Juli Torigoe to vice president and chief financial officer, following Dawn Harflinger’s promotion to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Torigoe, who joined the trust in 2016 as controller, will report to Harflinger, who last week was named the successor to President and CEO Robert Ozaki, who will become a trustee next year.

As CFO, Torigoe oversees Liliuokalani Trust’s financial, tax, and compliance matters.

“Given the expansion of LT programs and a growing endowment, we are fortunate to have Ms. Torigoe’s expertise and experience,” Harflinger said in a statement.

Prior to joining the trust, Torigoe worked at Servco Pacific Inc. for 10 years, most recently as finance director of the insurance group and as corporate controller before that. Prior to the corporate controller position, she also held similar positions in retail and banking. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Global Management Accountant.

Meanwhile, Harflinger is set to take over the top job at the trust on Feb. 1, 2021, when Ozaki moves to the board of trustees, replacing retired Judge Patrick K.S.L. Yim.
