Sharon Ehia Sharon Nālani Ehia grew up in ʻAiea, Oʻahu. Her mother hails from Makaweli on the island of Kauaʻi; her father from Hāwī, North Kohala on the island of Hawaiʻi. While living in ʻAiea Sharon attended Gus Webling Elementary School; her family then moved to Kahaluʻu while she was in the 6th grade and there, she attended King Intermediate and J.B. Castle High School. But as fate would have it, instead of a diploma she would receive her G.E.D. from Waipahu Adult Education in 1984. Diligently, she pursued her higher education goals at the University of Hawaiʻi, Mānoa obtaining her Bachelorʻs Degree and her Masterʻs Degree in Social Work.Before working for the Queen, Sharon worked for the Department of Health and Child Protective Services, ʻEwa Unit in Case Management, Kapiʻolani Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) for women and children who had been sexually abused and the Department of Health, Leeward Family Guidance.Sharon tries to live by this saying: “Trust the process and know that the path you travel is the path that has already been chosen.”Sharon is most thankful and appreciative for her family that always seem to share their love unconditionally.
